Facebook:

Nobody is ever going to be enticed by an essay about an analysis of an advert that came out ten years ago. That’s why you have to bait and entice them with memes, jokes, goofs and then you can give them some helpful information about analyzing advertisements.

Instagram:

I used the same idea for Instagram as I did for Facebook, by using memes to interact with my audience. This way it will immediately grab their attention and won’t just ignore the post. Instagram has the ability to have a picture at its focal point which also helps grab the attention of an audience, which makes it more effective than Facebook in my opinion.

Twitter:

This platform is limited to only 280 characters, including punctuation, which makes it difficult to give out a lot of information at face value. Which is why I decided to again go for a comedic-slang approach to advertising the advertisement. The lack of punctuation makes for a better use of characters and also adds to the comedy.

Snapchat:

This is one of the most restricted platforms for advertising traditionally, so I’ve again tried to use a comedic approach to plant the memory of the Cadbury gorilla advert in their minds which will hopefully remind them of Cadbury’s branding that will make them want to buy their brand of chocolate.

 

YouTube:

It is hard to make a video analyzing adverts interesting, or even entertaining for YouTube. Which is why I would approach it in an almost sarcastic manner, while still giving out the appropriate information. A lot of entertainment on YouTube comes from watching people overeact  to a situation to an extent where they are clearly joking. I would approach it like this because it appeals to the target audience of the advertisement.
